The northbound lane of Route 9 in Saratoga Springs has been closed at the Avenue of the Pines, police said this morning. Crescent Street has also been closed between Thoroughbred Drive and Route 9.
The road closures are due to a spill of an unknown fluid that has leaked from a 55-gallon drum that fell from the back of a pick up truck at the intersection of Crescent Street and Route 9, police said.
Saratoga Springs police and fire are currently on the scene and investigating the incident. New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has also been notified.
No injuries have been reported and the road closures will remain in effect until further notice.
