Gov. Andrew Cuomo has the highest approval rating among voters since his election, according to a Siena Research Institute poll released this morning.
Cuomo’s favorability rating is 72-18 percent, up from 69-22 percent last month.
While a majority of voters continues to say that Cuomo is doing an excellent or good job as governor, his overall job performance rating fell slightly over the last month to a 55-43 percent positive rating, down from 58-40 percent, according to the poll of registered voters. However, seven in 10 voters say Cuomo has done an excellent (20 percent) or good (50 percent) job in responding to the recent hurricane, tropical storm and flooding.
