A man was stabbed in the upper chest outside of 27 McElwain Ave. Thursday night, Amsterdam police said.
The stabbing took place at 7:30 p.m., according to Officer A.J. Fiorillo, and the victim was taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment. No condition was available Thursday night, but Fiorillo said the wound was not considered life-threatening and the victim was alert and conscious when taken to the hospital.
Police said they have been unable to identify the victim or obtain any information about the incident due to “uncooperative individuals at the scene,” including the victim.
