
DNA has led to the arrest of two men for their role in the robbery of a Clifton Park Holiday Inn Express in July.
Richard Young, 43, of Schenectady and Justin Faulkner, 33, of Clifton Park were charged with robbery in the third degree for their alleged roles in the robbery, which netted $430.
Young is also charged with burglary in the third degree, stemming from allegations that he forced his way into the Stewart’s Shop in Rexford on Aug. 7. He is accused of stealing lottery tickets and cigarettes.
Police investigations and DNA hits led to arrests in both situations.
Young was remanded to the Saratoga County Jail on $50,000 cash or $100,000 secured bond and is scheduled to reappear in the Town of Clifton Park Court on Oct. 12. Faulkner was remanded to Saratoga County Jail on $25,000 cash or $50,000 secured bond and is set to reappear in the Town of Clifton Park Court on Oct. 5.
