A city man charged in a 2008 killing is continuing to commit crimes in jail, Schenectady County District Attorney’s officials said.

Raquan Banks, 23, of 1175 Chrisler Ave., was indicted this week on two counts of second-degree robbery and second-degree assault.

Banks is accused in the indictment of forcibly taking property and causing injury Sept. 15 at the jail. Also indicted on the same charges in the same incident is another inmate — Walter Cobbs, age and address unavailable.

Banks was arrested in August, one of two people accused of killing Foday Kpoto. Kpoto’s family has said they were told by police the slaying was a case of mistaken identity. Also charged in the killing was 25-year-old Matthew M. Blanding Jr.

She is accused of injuring another person at the Schenectady County Jail on July 2, officials said.
