A Malta man was arrested early this morning on three charges stemming from what police said was an inappropriate contact with children.
Richard J. Oddy, 40, of Avenue F, Malta Gardens, was charged with three counts of first-degree criminal sexual acts, and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.
Sheriff’s Investigator Herb Hall said that three children Oddy knew were subjected to inappropriate contact at his home over a several-month period. His contact with two of the children was sexual, deputies said.
Oddy was arraigned before Ballston Spa Village Justice Thomas Schroeder and jailed in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or a $20,000 bond.
