An alleged assault involving beer bottles outside a Madison Avenue bar has two men facing assault counts, police said.
Rolland Hollins, 32, and Joel Perez, 25, both of Albany, were charged today with second-degree assault, a felony.
The two are accused of striking the victims with beer bottles after getting into a confrontation outside of The Pub at 863 Madison Ave. at about 1:15 a.m.
The victims, identified as Zachery Tevnan, 21, of Albany, and Anthony Losardo, 21, of Flushing, got into an argument with Hollins and Perez, one that escalated into a physical fight. It was during the fight that Hollins and Perez hit the victims in the face and head with the bottles, police said.
Tevnan and Losardo suffered large cuts as a result. Tevnan also briefly lost consciousness when he fell and hit his head on the pavement.
The two men were taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment.
The two suspects were arrested nearby. They were arraigned this morning.
