The head of the Schenectady County SPCA is resigning his position due to an upcoming military deployment.
Mathew B. Tully, chief of the county’s Society for the Prevention of Cruelty of Animals, will deploy to Afghanistan in July for one year. He is a lieutenant colonel in the New York Army National Guard.
The society’s board of directors will look for a successor and is currently accepting applications.
