FAIR HAVEN, Vt. — A Vermont police department says three people are dead following an early morning crash on U.S. Route 4 in Fair Haven.
The crash occurred at about 12:30 a.m. today, just inside the Vermont border from New York.
Police say a westbound car went off the right side of the road, overturned and burst into flames.
A survivor, a woman, was transported to Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington with head injuries.
Police say the victims were not from the area and efforts were being made to identify them.
