A man and woman are dead after an apparent murder-suicide in the city’s Vale neighborhood.
Police received a report at 1:17 p.m. today of a man threatening a woman with a knife at 6 Mynderse St.
“Officers forced entry into the resident and found two individuals, a man and a woman, deceased,” said police spokesman Lt. Mark McCracken.
Police are not sure the relationship of the couple but said it was likely boyfriend and girlfriend.
One of the victims had stabbed the other but police were not confirming the details. The man had apparently stabbed the woman and then hanged himself, according to police radio transmissions.
McCracken would not confirm that, only saying that one person was stabbed. The names of the victims are not being released pending notification of the next of kin. Detectives are investigating.
Mynderse runs perpendicular to State Street a few blocks east of Nott Terrace.
