Schenectady County Community College’s Elston Hall was evacuated Wednesday afternoon after a suspicious envelop was found.
The incident happened at about 4:30 p.m. College officials notified the Schenectady Police immediately. New York State Police conducted a search and determined that the contents of the envelope were not dangerous, according to college spokesman Heather Meaney. All protocols were followed.
Staff and students were able to re-enter Elston Hall at about 7:15 p.m.
