A woman picked up on an old misdemeanor warrant accusing her of stealing seafood found herself booked on a new charge of felony drug possession this week, police said.

Jakia Campbell, 40, of 916 Delamont Ave., was arrested Tuesday after a traffic stop, police said. Campbell was a passenger in the car and found to be wanted on the petty larceny charge.

In that case, Campbell is accused of stealing $86 worth of seafood from the Eastern Parkway Price Chopper in June 2011, including crab legs, lobster tails and shrimp.

After her arrest, though, she was found to be in possession of more than an eighth of an ounce of Ecstasy pills, and accused of trying to discard them in the patrol car, according to papers filed in court. After being transported to the station, officers found blue pills crushed on the floor of the patrol car, where Campbell was seated. The pills tested positive for Ecstasy.

Campbell faces one count each of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence, both felonies.
