A 22-year-old Saratoga Springs man is facing burglary and grand larceny charges after allegedly stealing $14,000 from an apartment in the town of Wilton.
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office reported today that James D. Stephens, of 28 Lincoln Ave., allegedly entered a residence at 6B McGregor Villas in the town of Wilton some time around Jan. 31 to remove the money.
He was charged on Tuesday with second-degree burglary, a class C felony, and third-degree grand larceny, a class D felony.
Stephens was arraigned in the town of Wilton by Town Justice David Towne and sent to Saratoga County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.
