The Johnstown Police Department and its K9 unit assisted with the vehicle stop.

Also on Thursday, police charged Mark E. Passino, 50, of 66 Washington St., with criminal sale of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was sent to the county jail without bail. Police said Passino is a level 3 sex offender.
