Scotia-Glenville schools are in lockout mode as Scotia police search for a suspect this morning.
The district received a call from police at about 7:15 a.m. as students were on the way to school. The middle school, high school and Sacandaga Elementary School were placed on lockout mode. Staff were stationed at the perimeter of the building to escort students into the buildings, according to district spokesman Robert Hanlon. No one will be admitted to the building during the lockout.
Scotia Police Chief Pete Frisoni said this stemmed from a domestic incident just after 6 a.m. at 108 Seeley St., where an intoxicated man displayed a knife. No one was injured.
Scotia Police officials requested assistance from Glenville and New York State Police.
