DRESDEN — A Queensbury man was pronounced dead at the scene of a one-car accident that occurred at about 1:40 a.m. today.
Michael P. Sharkey, 21, was killed after the vehicle he was driving, a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt, veered off the shoulder of the road on state Route 22 and struck a rock ledge.
The Dresden Fire Department, the Whitehall Fire Department, the Skenesborough EMS and the Washington County Sheriff’s Department were on the scene to provide assistance.
The accident is still under investigation by the state police at Granville.
