Pavement repairs on the state Thruway between Schenectady and Albany will close two lanes of westbound traffic today and tomorrow.
The state Thruway Authority announced today that the right and center lanes will be closed between mile markers 150 and 152, between Exit 25 and Exit 24, depending on the weather. The roads will be closed to make repairs between 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today and during the same period tomorrow.
According to one Daily Gazette reporter who traveled on the road during construction this morning, the delay was about 30 minutes.
Drivers are reminded to stay alert and be aware of their surroundings, as speeding fines will be doubled in the work zone. Additionally, the Thruway Authority thanks motorists for their patience and understanding while work is going on.
