Police are searching for a female purse snatcher authorities say is targeting elderly females who leave their purses unattended in shopping carts.
Police have logged four separate purse larcenies since June 16, according to a release from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s department.
Senior women lost their hand bags at Wal-Mart, Price Chopper and Hannaford grocery stores so far, according to police.
The woman is described as white, roughly 40 years old with long black hair that’s generally in a pony tail, according to the release. She is believed to be driving a dark, four-door sedan similar to a Toyota Camry, police said.
The Sheriff’s department is urging people not to leave personal belongings unattended while shopping.
