Police arrested a woman Friday night whose residence they said may be the site of drug distribution and gang activity.
The Saratoga Springs Police Department executed a search warrant in the Jefferson Terrace housing complex at 7:30 p.m. looking for narcotics, according to a news release. The search was part of an effort by the department and the Saratoga Housing Authority to rid the Jefferson and Vanderbilt Housing Complex of criminal activity.
Officers arrested Elizabeth J. Lorman, 54, of Building 3, on felony and misdemeanor possession charges that include two counts of thirddegree criminal possession of a controlled substance (cocaine and heroin), one count of fi fth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and one count of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Lorman’s arrest comes a month after 32-year-old Bronx man, Royal Hamilton, was arrested inside Building 5 of Jefferson Terrace. He was wanted on a violent felony robbery warrant and a parole warrant out of the Bronx.
Lorman was arraigned and sent to the Saratoga County Jail on $20,000 cash or $40,000 bond bail. She will appear Tuesday in City Court.
