Mazzone Hospitality will begin construction later this summer on a Latham restaurant that will cater to the clientele of the spa and salon next door.

TALA, An American Bistro, is to be the latest addition to the list of restaurants and banquet halls the hospitality group owns and operates throughout the Capital Region. The 50-seat restaurant will open in late fall at the new Rumors Salon & Spa building at 626 New Loudon Road.

Owner Angelo Mazzone announced a partnership with his longtime friend, Leah Tyrrell, on the project. Managing partner Amy Kiernan will be in charge of daily operations.

“I’m thrilled to partner with a trusted friend on such an innovative and exciting project,” said Mazzone in a news release Wednesday. “TALA, An American Bistro, will continue our tradition of quality food and impeccable service while catering to the greater Latham community and Rumors clientele. A fashionable restaurant and deluxe salon are perfect complements to one another.”

The restaurant will be located on the north side of the salon, with a full bar and outdoor patio. Mazzone described the “spa menu” as an “eclectic mix of stylized entrees” that cater to Rumors patrons.

Open Monday through Saturday for lunch and dinner, TALA will accept Mazzone Hospitality gift cards and qualifies for the Angelo’s Preferred Loyalty program.

Mazzone Hospitality has restaurants in Saratoga Springs, Scotia, Schenectady, Clifton Park and Albany.
