Niskayuna and Schenectady police as well as the Schenectady County SWAT team responded to a Niskayuna home this afternoon for a report of a woman being held hostage.
The woman was believed to be in a residence at Cunningham Court, located just off Eastern Parkway.
Andre’s Jimenez was in the neighborhood after leaving his job at a local golf course. His father lives in the area and he came down with his girlfriend, Morgan Belak, to see the commotion.
“We were outside and we saw cops flying down the streets,” she said.
Police blocked off Eastern Parkway from Oregon Avenue to Daisy Lane. Robert Hicks was trying to get back to his house on Cunningham Court when he saw a SWAT team van arrive and an officer get out. The officer told him: “Nothing’s going on at Cunningham Court. Everybody’s fine over there. You just can’t go on the road.”
No further information was available from police.
