A Schenectady teen was arrested Wednesday for allegedly stealing from a Rotterdam house and garage at separate residences.
A woman at 2730 Myrtle Ave. called police to report that she heard noises from inside the house and when she investigated, she observed someone fleeing from the residence. A resident at 2909 Myrtle Ave. also reported a burglary at a garage.
The first victim was able to provide police with a description and a short time later, Officer Claude Sawyer arrested 17-year-old Romello S. Hill of Van Vranken Ave. Hill was still in the immediate area of the burglaries and allegedly possessed items stolen from the victims’ homes.
Hill was charged with two felony counts of burglary. He was arraigned in Rotterdam Town Court and remanded to the Schenectady County Jail on $10,000 bail.
