Police in Amsterdam are hunting for a suspect in an early-morning stabbing that sent a victim to the hospital with multiple stab wounds.
Amsterdam Police in a release said the victim, one of four people in a vehicle, got into an argument another passenger at about 4:15 a.m. before the two exited the car to fight near the corner of Wesleyan Ave. and Chapel Place.
According to police, the victim returned to the vehicle and told the others he’d been stabbed. He was driven to St. Mary’s Hospital and then transported to Albany Medical Center hospital for emergency surgery.
Police are not releasing the identity of any of those involved and interviews with witnesses are ongoing, according to the release.
