A freeze warning is in effect from late tonight until 9 a.m. on Saturday.
The National Weather Service’s warning includes parts of Fulton, Montgomery, Saratoga, Schenectady and Schoharie counties. A freeze watch had previously been issued, but that is no longer in effect.
A freeze warning indicates that sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. The conditions could kill crops and other vegetation.
Additionally, there is a hazardous weather outlook for parts of Saratoga, Schoharie, Schenectady, Fulton and Montgomery counties. There is the potential for high winds, just below 45 miles per hour.
This forecast covers today and tonight.
