The Saratoga Springs man accused of making threats against President Obama and school children earlier this year has been sentenced to 1 to 3 years in state prison.
Brent Dickinson, 34, of 2601 Maple Ave., was sentenced today by Saratoga County Court Judge Jerry J. Scarano after earlier pleading guilty to attempted making a terroristic threat, a Class E felony.
The incidents occurred around last March 2, and involved threats against school children and the president sent by email from public computers in Saratoga Springs.
District Attorney James A. Murphy III said the case in County Court related to Dickinson’s admission that he made threats against young school children at an unnamed and nonspecific school in Saratoga County.
The charge of threatening the president is still under review by the U.S. attorney’s office in Albany.
