Hindu Temple of Schenectady broken into, police say

Police are investigating vandalism and thefts at the Hindu Temple of Schenectady.

The building at 1052 Pleasant St. in the city’s Mont Pleasant neighborhood was broken into in the early morning hours on Monday. Windows were smashed and food and other items were thrown about the Temple, according to police. There were also items reported stolen, but police did not give specifics.

A Schenectady Police Department evidence technician responded and processed the scene. Police do not have any suspects in custody at this time.
