An Albany man has been arrested in connection with a Monday afternoon shooting that left two people injured, police said.
Angel Rivera, 37, faces two counts of second-degree attempted murder, accused of shooting the two in the 300 block of Central Avenue.
A 35-year-old woman from Albany suffered a gunshot wound to her foot, the other victim, a 23-year-old man from Albany, suffered a gunshot wound to his left hip, police said. The shooting happened at about 3:40 p.m. Monday.
Both victims were treated at the scene and taken to Albany Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Rivera was arrested by responding officers near the scene.
Both of the victims and Rivera are known to each other, police said.
Rivera was arraigned Tuesday morning and ordered held.
