Authorities investigating the killing of a woman and her 23-year-old daughter inside their Albany-area home earlier this month are planning to discuss the case.
The Rotterdam Police Department, New York State Police and the Schenectady County District Attorney’s Office have scheduled a news conference for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday to talk about the investigation into the slayings of 52-year-old Tammy McCormack and her daughter, Jessica McCormack.
Their bodies were found inside their Rotterdam home on the morning of April 10 after Tammy McCormack’s son went to the house when she didn’t show up for work.
Jessica McCormack’s ex-boyfriend, 28-year-old Brice Rivenburgh, was arrested on a burglary charge after the slayings. Rivenburgh hasn’t been charged in the women’s deaths.
Authorities say they aren’t commenting on the case until the news conference.
