Two southbound lanes will be closed on the Northway tonight, south of Exit 8 and north of the Twin Bridges, state Department of Transportation officials said.
The lanes will be closed at 8 p.m. to allow for repairs to an overhead electronic sign structure. This work is independent of the ongoing deck replacement project on the Twin Bridges, which has been closing bridge lanes on weekends this spring.
DOT officials said the lane closures are expected to last a few hours, and both lanes will be open well before the Friday morning commute.
