3 shot to death in Newburgh: police

Police say three people have been shot to death in a home in the Hudson Valley.

Newburgh police say the two men and a woman were found by officers sent to a multi-family house after a report shots had been fired just after 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.

They say two of the victims died at the scene and another at a hospital.

Police aren’t releasing the names of the victims until they’re positively identified and relatives are notified.

Detectives say no other details are being released as the investigation continues Wednesday afternoon. They asked anyone with information to contact police.

Newburgh is a scene of frequent drug and gang violence. It’s on the Hudson River 58 miles north of New York City.
