An overnight fire destroyed a vacant house on Mumford Street, fire officials said.
Firefighters were called to the home at 499 Mumford St. just before 2 a.m. this morning. They fought the blaze that soon had orange flames shooting from the second floor windows and attic area.
Firefighters shot jets of water on the flames from outside to get the flames under control.
No injuries were reported. The home itself was vacant, officials said.
The cause remains under investigation.
