Section II softball: 3 games moved to dome; others postponed

The combination of bad weather and the holiday weekend has put a halt to most of the Section II softball tournament.

Only three games are still on for today, all first-round games that were suspended due to weather on Thursday. Those games have been moved to the dome at the Adirondack Sports Dome in Queensbury.

The Class B game between Cohoes and Greenville is scheduled for 2, followed by the Class AA contest between Ballston Spa and Catholic Central (4 p.m. tentative start) and another Class B contest, Ravena vs. Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons (6 p.m.)

No other games will be played until Tuesday.

The rest of today’s scheduled games will be played Tuesday, at the higher seed.

Semifinals will be played on Wednesday at Veeder Park Colonie and Moreau Rec in South Glens Falls. Class assignments will remain the same.

All finals will now be on Friday May 31 — A and D at Moreau Rec at 5:00; AA, B and C at Clifton Common at 5.
