City police today identified the woman found dead inside her Albany apartment earlier this week, and labeled her death as homicide.

Police are now looking for her husband, and hoping to interview him about what happened.

Found dead Wednesday evening was Sharene Wallace, 37, of 279 Sherman St., Apt. 2. Police declined to discuss what they believed led up to Wallace’s death, but said they think she was intentionally killed.

They are seeking her husband — Robert L. Williams, 41, of Albany — for questioning.

Anyone with information about the death, or about Williams’ location, is asked to contact the Albany Police Department’s detective office at 462-8039.
