City police are warning of a potentially rabid fox loose in the city, saying it has chased some residents and attacked one.
The fox attacked the person in the 300 block of Bleecker Street, according to police. Others were chased on Lafayette and Bleecker streets in the northwest portion of the city by what is believed to be the same fox, police said. Police did not say when the incidents happened.
Police are urging anyone who sees the fox to call them but said no one should approach the animal, police said.
