State and federal investigators are probing a suspicious package that was left at the FBI field office in Albany today.
Spokesman Paul Holstein declined to describe the package or the particulars of how it was received at 200 McCarty Ave. He also wouldn’t say what the FBI’s response to the discovery was, except to say the personnel there took “common sense precautions” after the discovery.
City and state police are both assisting the FBI. Holstein anticipates some resolution in the case either later this afternoon or evening.
“We’re conducting a logical sense investigation,” he said.
