Police say a Gloversville man simply said “You got me” to officers who saw him carrying a stack of laptop computers down the street at 2 a.m. Sunday morning.

Geoffrey Marple, 43, of 10 Lincoln St., was apparently almost home when police stopped him and allegedly found the items from a burglary at Bree’s on North Main Street.

Gloversville police Capt. John Sira said officers asked Marple why he said they had him and he displayed new price tags on the merchandise before putting his hands on a wall and being placed under arrest.

Marple was charged with third-degree burglary, fourth degree grand larceny, both felonies, and misdemeanor fourth-degree criminal mischief.

Marple was arraigned in Gloversville City Court and sent to the Fulton County Jail without bail.
