A Connecticut man apparently drowned Tuesday night in the northern end of Lake George, Ticonderoga police said.
William Wallace, 70, whom police said was a seasonal resident of the northern Lake George area, is believed to have drowned sometime shortly after 7 p.m. Tuesday, after going swimming. He was reported missing, and his body was found by searchers in Cooks Bay at the northern end of the lake.
