City police arrested two men in connection with a robbery late Tuesday night at a Crane Street store, police said.
The robbery happened just before 11:30 p.m. at One Stop Grocery, 729 Crane St., when a man entered the store, displayed a handgun. The man demanded the clerk turn over the safe and the money drawer.
The suspect then fled on foot and was spotted entering a maroon Honda. Officers soon located that Honda with two individuals inside.
One man, later identified as Feeiaz M. Yacob, 19, of Schenectady, fled on foot and was arrested a few blocks away.
The passenger of the vehicle, identified as Haresh N. Brijraj, 19, of Schenectady, was also arrested.
Both Yacob and Brijraj were charged with first-degree robbery, a high-level felony.
They were held overnight and were to be arraigned this morning.
