Mohonasen Central School District officials evacuated Draper Middle School after a small fire was touched off in a second-floor bathroom this morning.
The fire was discovered by a student around 10:42 a.m. and quickly extinguished by a teacher. The building was evacuated and the fire department was called, but no injuries were reported.
A district spokeswoman said the incident was apparently spurred by a toilet paper roll that was lit on fire. District officials are investigating the cause the fire and now reviewing security camera footage .
Students have since been allowed to reenter the building.
