Police in Albany say three men used a bogus online add to lure another man to an apartment where he was shoved out a second-story window as he tried to escape.
Officials say a 32-year-old man from the town of Queensbury, New York, met a woman through an online advertising service and was invited to an apartment in the city.
Police say when the man got inside the apartment Tuesday, he realized the female was actually a man who had two other men with him. When they tried to steal his money, he attempted to climb out a window.
Police say that’s when two of the men shoved him, causing him to fall 20 feet to the ground. Officers found him on the sidewalk suffering from leg injuries.
All three suspects were arrested.
