HAGUE, N.Y. — Divers are set to resume the search for a 59-year-old upstate New York man who disappeared on the northern end of Lake George when the boat he was in capsized in stiff winds.
William Scott, of Westerlo, was fishing with two friends Tuesday morning when the boat’s downriggers line snagged something and the boat capsized.
Scott jumped into the water with a life jacket, while 70-year-old Thomas Greene and 75-year-old George Boss managed to grab the boat and hold on until they were rescued.
Wednesday’s effort was hindered by thunderstorms that forced searchers off the lake at times.
Police tell The Post-Star of Glens Falls (http://bit.ly/1mb7T1l ) that Scott has a history of heart problems, and that may have played a part in his ability to stay afloat.
