A Colonie man was hit by a car and killed Thursday night when he tried to cross five lanes of traffic, Colonie police said.
Kyle Canabush, 29, was crossing Central Avenue near Kraft Avenue at about 8:50 p.m. when he was hit by a car driven by Robert Morrison, 37, of Colonie, police said. There was no crosswalk where he attempted to cross, Colonie police Sgt. David Leonardo said.
Canabush was taken by ambulance to Albany Medical Center where he later died from his injuries, police said.
No tickets were issued, and Leonardo said an investigation determined that the driver was not at fault.
