More than 44,000 utility customers remain without power in the aftermath of severe storms that killed four people and left a swath of property damage across central New York.
National Grid reported about 32,000 customers across the state with power outages as of 2 p.m. Wednesday, with the majority in central New York counties. NYSEG reported about 11,000 customers without power and Rochester Gas & Electric reported 1,700.
Early Wednesday morning, about 72,000 were without power in central and northern New York.
