Justin Timberlake world tour likely to fill TU Center

“Justin Timberlake: The 20/20 Experience World Tour” rolls into the Times Union Center on Wednesday.

About 13,000 people filled the Albany venue for Paul McCartney’s three-hour spectacular last Saturday. Timberlake, the former ’N Sync lead vocalist, is expected to attract another full house in the middle of next week.

The 33-year-old superstar has been living the good life musically. In 2013, he released his third and fourth albums, “The 20/20 Experience” and “The 20/20 Experience — 2 of 2.” The former, with hits “Suit & Tie” and “Mirrors,” became the best-selling record of the year.

Life has also been good to Timberlake in other areas. He’s an actor — and a guy who gets noticed by women in and out of their teens.

Some things about Timberlake that make him such a hot ticket:

— Timberlake’s honors include sexiest man titles from both Teen People and Cosmopolitan magazines and the most stylish man in America by GQ (see photo at left).

— In 1993 and 1994, he was part of the cast of “The Mickey Mouse Club” TV show. His fellow actors and actresses included future super singers Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera and future movie stars Ryan Gosling and Keri Russell.

— In late 2002, Timberlake was the first celebrity to appear on “Punk’d,” Ashton Kutcher’s version of “Candid Camera.” Celebrities were tricked into silly things; Timberlake cried during the episode.

— Timberlake received a world audience during halftime of the 2004 Super Bowl. People may not remember the songs — they’ll remember Timberlake’s role in the “wardrobe malfunction” that flashed part of singing partner Janet Jackson’s top.

— An acting high point was playing Sean Parker, the founder of Napster, in the 2010 film, “The Social Club.” An acting low point was an appearance in Mike Myers 2008 bomb, “The Love Guru.”
