You don’t need a beach for this fun in the sun.
New York City’s “Manhattanhenge” returns at 8:24 p.m. Friday. That’s when the sun lines up with cross streets before setting.
Nature will provide an encore performance at 8:25 p.m. Saturday.
The term “Manhattanhenge” was popularized by Hayden Planetarium Director Neil deGrasse Tyson.
The phenomenon reminded him of Stonehenge, where the sun aligns with ancient stones.
CBS New York says the best views will be on the wider crosstown streets. They include 14th, 23rd, 34th, 42nd and 57th streets.
