NY State Fair launching 'Showstopper Ale'

New York plans to start pouring State Fair-branded “Showstopper Ale” from a Syracuse brewery next month.

The fair in Syracuse is scheduled Aug. 21 to Sept. 1, where the ale will be on tap

It is made by Empire Brewing Co. and has a bright orange logo.

Company president David Katleski says it was created based on their best-selling Skinny Atlas Light Ale recipe.

He says it’s a hybrid that uses local ingredients like pure Skaneateles Lake water, malted barley and hops and Empire’s proprietary yeast.
