State police say a Rensselaer County man has died after his car went off a road and crashed in a creek.
Police say 41-year-old John Derouville of Cropseyville was driving a 2002 Honda Accord west on Route 2 in the town of Brunswick around 9 a.m. Sunday when he veered into the eastbound lane and hit a bridge abutment.
The car landed in Quackenkill Creek. Derouville was pronounced dead at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.
Police said it’s unclear what led to the accident.
