Civil Service Commissioner Jerry Boone says the application deadline is approaching for hundreds of internship opportunities available within New York State government.
He’s encouraging college students to submit applications for the fall semester as soon as possible. The deadline is Sept. 8.
New York state created a website, www.nysinternships.com, where students can see and apply for internships in agencies both downstate and upstate.
Opportunities include both paid and unpaid positions. Internships may include academic credit depending on the college policy.
