Saratoga National Historical Park has received a $750,000 grant to upgrade and re-design outdoor exhibits that have been in place since the 1960s and ’70s.

Officials say the funds from the National Park Service for a comprehensive wayside rehabilitation plan will be used to improve more than 60 exhibits dotting the 10-mile scenic road that winds through the park, also known as Saratoga Battlefield.

The new plan will use new scholarship, artwork and stories to better educate visitors about the history-changing Revolutionary War battles that were fought at Saratoga in September and October 1777.

The park, located in the town of Stillwater, is holding a public workshop on the plan Wednesday night at Saratoga Town Hall in the nearby village of Schuylerville.
