An 88-year-old Schenectady man died Saturday from injuries suffered after he was hit by a car the previous night while crossing Central Avenue, the Colonie Police Department said.
Anthony Pirrone was struck by Desiree Butler, 50, of Schenectady around 6:30 p.m. Friday near Wilber Avenue, police said. He died at Albany Medical Center on Saturday night. Police said speed and alcohol weren’t factors in the crash and the driver sustained no serious injuries.
Anyone who witnessed the accident or has information regarding it is asked to contact the Colonie Police Traffic Safety Unit at 783-2744.
